- The expansion of curriculum and technology in the teaching and learning process, the role we play in addressing the problems of direct education through modern and digital technology is very important.
- Therefore, at the level of Sidama National Regional Government Education Office, since the last two years, the new curriculum has been started from pre-first to 8th grade and from 9th-10th grade in Sidama Afo. It is expected that he will do it.
- I believe that it is important to organize and implement the website of the office to make it accessible in an easy way. I am happy to say that the process that was being done was effective and the services provided to the community as a sector are presented in detail below.
A. Name of the directorate: Curriculum preparation, implementation and provision of educational materials purpose-oriented directorate
- Duties implemented by the Directorate:-
- Adaptation of content flow (flow chart) and curriculum of regular curriculum from pre-first to 8th grades.
- Prepare textbooks and modules for non-formal education programs based on the national curriculum.
- Preparation of textbooks for secondary schools (9-10)
- To prepare, adapt, translate, revise and introduce, publish and distribute educational and teaching books as well as helpful books.
- Monitoring and evaluation of curriculum implementation
- Carrying out capacity building activities on the preparation and implementation of various deficiencies
- Carrying out laboratory, library and branch center service activities
- Preparation of curriculum, script and teacher's guide for radio education program
- Monitoring and evaluating the use and implementation of educational radio programs
- Carry out curriculum evaluation and improvement activities
- Carry out research activities related to curriculum
- Facilitating the disposal of damaged and non-curricular textbooks and equipment as well as chemicals
- Identifying, compiling and expanding best practices around curriculum
- Conducting consultation and evaluation forums around the curriculum with stakeholders
- Identifying and organizing the need for educational books and equipment, and organizing and submitting the demand request
- Preparing and verifying, publishing and distributing tender documents, specifications for educational equipment and books.
- Supplying and distribution of educational equipment / chemicals, apparatus and science kits.
- Establish animation teams from the regional office to the school to support science labs to provide real services and provide appropriate support.
- Monitor the management and use of books and equipment
- Distribute the national calendar to user schools/institutions and monitor that the schools are working accordingly.
- Follow up on whether the content/contents can be completed according to the calendar; if they cannot be completed, follow up and implement them
- Schools should follow the proper use of period/periods for each grade level.
- Monitoring and ensuring that the regional examinations prepared for the 6th and 8th grades include the
- content presented at each grade level in a balanced manner.
